Saint Patrick's Basilica 12:15 Adult Choir
12:15 PM Sunday Mass
The 12:15 choir was founded five years ago, out of a mixture of interested parishioners and parents of the Youth Choir Membership. Under the leadership of Mrs.Francesca Bailey, this Choir enjoys the teaching skills of a professional musician with the added dedication shared by all of the members to the reverend musical proclamation of the scriptures in the Roman Catholic Rite.
The 12:15 choir meets for rehearsals on Thursday evenings from 7:30PM until 9:00PM. Additional extraordinary rehearsals are called from time to time and the membership is informed by email. As the name of the Choir indicates, this Choir's program is presented at the Basilica's 12:15 Mass each Sunday and on Christmas and New Year's Day. Other special occasions included, in the past, Saint Patrick's Day Special Mass, weddings, baptisms and funerals.
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE - 2006

We are now starting a very interesting up-coming season. With the 150th Anniversary Celebrations behind us, there are other events involving this Choir that are being planned. The Christmas Season will begin with the "Advent Carols and Lessons", followed by the Christmas Eve Program which will offer the traditional Carols Service prior to the Christmas Mid-Night Mass. These are just a couple of reasons why members of Saint Patrick's Parish may want to consider joining the Choir, now, while the Membership Drive is on. By clicking on this link it will take you to our Director's Message, presented to the Parish during the 2006 Membership Drive. The Choir offers great music, friendly people and good wholesome fun - all excellant reasons to join right now! But there is more; The 150th Anniversary Mass, which was composed by Gilles Leclerc and so kindly dedicated to the memory of Peter Gravelle, Organist at St. Patrick's Basilica, until his passing, is also presented on this web site at the resources tab. In another event, last year, several members of the 12:15 Choir participated as the invited Choir at the National Prayer Breakfast, in the West Block on Parliament Hill. Hosted by Hon. Peter Milliken, MP, Speaker of the House of Commons and facilitated by Hon. Karen Redman, MP, the annual National Prayer Breakfast is a Christ centred but not just Christian event. It is not intended as an evangelical vehicle nor is it intended to influence the thinking of others toward any particular political viewpoint. Rather the aim is simply to meet in the spirit of our Lord, Jesus Christ and pray together. Below is a photograph taken on the day, of the Choir participants with the Hon. Peter Milliken, MP.
Please consider joining us in this most rewarding and enjoyable ministry within our Parish!
